SHE Systems

Smoke & Heat Exhaust (SHE) systems use natural, mechanical or impuls ventilation to clear smoke and heat from underground parkings or open spaces.

Somati designs and installs SHE systems, mostly using new generation induction fans. These powerful fans create virtual smoke compartments, allowing a safe evacuation route and creating visibilty for the fire brigade.

Somati offers a complete package for the protection of underground parkings, including fire detection, sprinkler and SHE systems.

CO detection and daily ventilation

CO detection is needed in underground parkings to avoid high concentrations of the harmful CO gas caused by car exhausts. When high CO levels are detected, the SHE system will automatically start ventilating the parking and ask people to evacuate.

However, SHE systems are not only used in case of emergency. The daily ventilation of an underground parking (for example with 30 min interval) can be taken care of by the same extraction fans.
